Post-Installation Checklist: IntelliMortise
Overview
After the installation of locks, it is recommended to follow these checklist to ensure your lock is operating as designed.
Post-Installation Checklist - IntelliMortise
- Insert batteries into lock, and confirm the lock powers up
- If lock does not power up, follow troubleshooting steps
- Check that the exterior handle of the lock can only be turned downwards
- If you can turn the handle both upwards and downwards, please refer to Step 10 in the IntelliMortise Installation Manual
- With the door closed and latched, turn the deadbolt thumb turn in and out to confirm smooth operation
- Check the mortise faceplate for alignment
- Check the strike plate for alignment
- Insert the key into the cylinder, and ensure the key is able to:
- Retract the latch
- Throw and retract the deadbolt
- Throw the deadbolt, then rotate the inside handle downwards and confirm the deadbolt automatically retracts with a single motion
- Ensure Firmware is up-to-date
- The best time to update firmware is at time of installation
