Do I need to purchase network gateways?

Network gateways are optional for basic lock operation, but highly recommended for properties that need remote access and centralized management.

Without a gateway, smart locks operate locally using Bluetooth, PIN codes, or RFID, and all changes must be made on-site.

When a gateway is installed, you unlock powerful remote features, including:

• Remotely adding or revoking guest and staff access

• Viewing real-time battery levels and lock activity logs

• Automatically syncing schedules and pushing updates

• Managing multiple doors from anywhere

If you’re using an access automation platform or PMS integration, a network gateway is required for the integration to function properly.
