Do I need to modify my doors to use 33 Locks?
In most cases, no.
In most installations, no major door modifications are required. 33 Lock smart locks are designed to fit standard commercial and residential door preparations, including mortise and cylindrical configurations.
In some cases, minor adjustments—such as drilling small mounting holes or trimming an existing strike plate—may be needed depending on your current door hardware and frame. To ensure a clean, professional finish, we offer decorative cover plates that help conceal marks or holes left by previous locks.
